Welcome to the Forum Alltired. You may need your pressure changed. I would call the DME and or your Sleep Dr. and talk with one of them about your trouble having to work harder at forcing the air out. Also, it would be really great, if you could go to your profile, and fill out your machine, mask, etc. and that way others maybe able to see what your using and will be better able to help you. Thanks, and Welcome.

Welcome. Yes, do let us know your exact machine name and the pressure at which it is set. Some machines have a feature for exhalation relief. At real high pressures, some machines are easier to breathe out with than others. There is help to be had. You've started the ball rolling, hopefully some targeted troubleshooting will soon follow to see if it's just an adjustment phase or you need to tweak something.
