CPAP software compatible with Apple OS?

Post by Otter's Dad » Sat Feb 27, 2010 6:15 pm

Does anyone know if CPAP software is compatible with Apple operating systems? Or are they PC only?

I can only speak for ResMed's ResScan - only works on pc. If you have the newer intel chip, should be able to install VMware or Parallels (or BootCamp) then WinXP.

I don't know of anyone that writes for apple, SORRY. Lately have been having trouble getting a lot of them to work since Billy has been forcing Vista\Windows 7 especally if you get a good machine and have to run in 64 bit.

If you have to use or only have an Apple OS, go to Sunmicrosystems and download Virtual Box. Load it on your machine and then you will be able to load a Windows OS. You will then be able to load the Windows software onto the Windows OS and it will in turn be able to use the ports of your computer and interface with the machine of your choice.
I myself am using Windows 7, Solaris 10 and Slackware Linux on this laptop using a Vista OS.

Have fun!
