Anyone have VCD and use CPAP?

The Sleep Center and Doc can't figure out how they should do adjustments so the solution was: Just don't use it until your appointment on Monday! Bad thing is when they gave me the CPAP they also took my oxygen.....so all I have to sleep with is my Dsra (oral appliance). So I am a bit nervous to go to sleep. The problem I am having is if they use the Auto Set.....it triggers too quickly and my vocal cords are closing.....so they set it on 7...turned up the heat ....and while that did help with the gas and bloating....it's causing my heart to race and my breathing to be very labored. So just not sure what to do anymore.

Farmer Jill, have you tried Heliox? They use it in pediatrics.

My doctor is considering putting me on heliox again because of some problems I am having. It is hard to find and expensive. Only one place makes it in Northern California (per DME).

I guess they have talked to you about GERD, etc.?? Good luck with it.....Dave
