Feedback on Resmed S8 Escape ii Auto

Post by golmos » Thu Feb 18, 2010 1:56 pm

Friends,

I am about to change after 3 years of continue use my Resmed Elite CPAP (data compliant). Lately my CPAP has been making a lot of noise.

I've been offered a new Resmed S8 Escape ii Auto?

Info below.

http://www.resmed.com/us/products/s8_es ... c=patients

Looks to me like an new pump in the market... any feedback or suggestions as the Autoset II seems to be more professional

They want to charge me US$ 650 for the Resmed S8 Escape ii Auto

I would like to know your feedback and experiences about this new cpap

Many thanks,

Golmos

If offered anything with "Plus" or "Escape" in the name, run (don't walk) to your DME and demand they give you a fully data-capable Resmed S8 Autoset II. That way you can see your nightly data (# of apnea/hypopnea events, nightly pressure and leaks) on the LCD screen and know if your therapy is working or not.
Sleep well and live better!

If using your own dollars, suggest you check cpapauction for auction deals. New units without humidifier went for under $300 recently

Hey! Congratulations! Good negotiating! Oh, you want to keep that DME. Though you might purchase supplies elsewhere, they DEFINITELY showed they care about your therapy. They are in business, so should try to make money. But they can meet your needs and still make money. They struck a good balance.
