M-Series Auto c/w A-Flex

Post by ranman » Mon Feb 15, 2010 10:18 am

I realize that this machine has been discontinued by Respironics and has been replaced by the PR System one Auto. It is however still available to purchase while stock remains and at a discount price as well. I'm looking for a new machine and am considering one of these two.

Having never used this M-Series machine before, I would like to hear from those that are familiar with it.

Did the last humidifier fix work to solve the previous issues?

Still ongoing problems with dropped data?

Overall impressions with sleep quality achieved and any information regarding your experiences would be much appreciated.
regards,

ranman

I use one (it's a couple of years old, tho).

I love it. I've had no problems with the humidifier and only ONE instance of dropped data. I upload the data nearly every morning, tho, so I only lost one night's.

Can't speak to the newer ones, except to say if they come down much more, I'll buy another one for a backup!

Depending on what version of Encore you're using, you may have to upgrade that, too. If you have v. 1.8, you should be good with the M Series Auto w/A-Flex.

Have you been checking CPAPAuction?: http://www.cpapauction.com/index.php

As far as your questions go, I think "Yes" (if you get the most current humidifier) and "Yes" (it think it depends on some mysterious factors.....like the number of hours or sessions used in a week's time) are the answers.

Personally, I'm going to stick with my old Legacy models.

What discounted prices are you finding on it? I am looking for one now.

Thanks,
Glenn

I saw that cpap.com has the basic machine on for $545.00 add a humidifier and it's $649.00. The complete bundle with Encore Viewer software and a card reader included is $819.00

I have this model and like it very well. The humidifier chamber is small, so if you live in a dry area, you may want to consider another model or adding a room humidifier.
