OT: Pray for me please

Post by Spirit » Wed Feb 10, 2010 5:46 pm

Hi,
I've been battling fatigue for nearly 3 years. Thought cpap was the answer, the cure to my fatigue. Today, I recieved a letter from Oncology, have an apt on the 24th,. 12 Smear cells were found in my recent blood test. I also have an upcoming Hematology appt. My white blood cell count is extremely high. I'm in the twilight zone right now. Just so tired of searching and waiting for answers.

I know I haven't been the most positive person at the forums, and I'm truly sorry. I desired cpap to work so badly, improving my fatigue, hoping never to recieve any bad news, in other area's of my health.

Would like to thank all those that support me, through my journey, your understanding/love lifted my spirits tremendously ((((( hugs)))))

Please include me in your prayers.
Spirit

I'm a newbie, so I haven't "known" you before, but I wish you all the best in this, the next leg on your journey. Sending prayers for health and healing your way.

((((Hugs)))) to you, Spirit....

No need to apologize for anything. With all you've been going through these last few years, your frustration has been completely understandable. Sharing your very difficult journey on this forum may be helping so many more people than you'll ever know.

Perhaps soon you will finally understand what has been causing your extreme fatigue, and you can move in a positive direction from that point forward. Hang in there. Not knowing and waiting are often the most difficult parts.

Please remember that even though CPAP hasn't brought you all the relief you had hoped for, it is allowing your body to heal from the damage caused by the nightly oxygen deprivation. You have had some very good results from it. And continuing to use CPAP should give your body the best chance to heal from whatever currently ails you.

You are in my thoughts and prayers during this trying time. I hope that you will let us know the results of your visit with the specialist later this month. And I hope you're feeling much better very, very soon.

Take good care of yourself and let others help you too!

Spirit, I truly hope that it is not as serious as you think. The word Oncology is enough to send shivers down anyone's spine. Try to quell that panic as best you can until you know more. There are many different types of illnesses, many of them curable. Step by baby step Spirit. We are all sending positive thoughts your way and hope that it turns out to be all okay.

That's your lull before the storm. When you know what you definitely confront, you can bring all your strength and anger to bear down on it and defeat it. Don't let it take more than it has to. Get angry with it and keep it separate from what you enjoy and love.

It is an enemy you hate, you will not permit it to destroy the rest of your good days. Let it have what it must but no more than that.

My heart goes out to you, the above is how my wife survived an awful cancer.

The waiting, the fear and the consequences can do nothing but pull you down and make the cure harder. We can't help it, but nonetheless it is an aspect of the cure we can attempt to take control of. Anger can prop you up and make a path through to strength as can the support and kindness of good people. These are your weapons, use them well and win!

God bless Spirit xx
