resmed software - can't print report

Post by sweetpea Mom » Tue Feb 09, 2010 6:21 am

Oh, sometimes I feel like the "problem child" of this forum.

I got the Resmed 3.7 software with my new APAP Autoset 2. I downloaded it just fine, and have been reading the detail. It's great !! However, when I tried to print a report, the system gives me an error message "Rescan caught an Unhandled Exception in the plugin"....and then it forces me to quit the program. I to save the info as a PDF, but the screen just shows that it's something like a DEMO report - and the detail is blank.

Anyone else have this problem ? It appears to me, in my limited knowledge of Windows PC's that the software is locked for printing -

Thanks in advance........

Beth

I did run into the same problem. To correct this:
  1. Exit ResScan.
  2. Right-click (click the right mouse button).
  3. Then select the "Compatability" tab at the top.
  4. Check "Run this program in compatability mode for" checkbox.
  5. Select the Windows XP selection.
  6. Click "OK" at the bottom.
  7. Restart ResScan.

Hope that helps.

Do you have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer?
I would download and install the latest version, from here: http://www.adobe.com/go/getreader

Hi Community,

I have been having similar problems with the ResScan 03.12.016 software on my Vista laptop. Reports are drafted OK, but when print or save is selected I get a ResScan box with "ResScan has caused an Exception and has failed to handle the Exception properly." etc

I was originally on Adobe 8.1, after this issue I upgraded to Adobe X, then downgraded to Adobe 9.4, all without any luck. I have also tried each of these versions using the suggestions of JohnBFisher (run in XP mode), along with running ResScan as administrator.

To sweetpea mom: did you manage to get your version working correctly with reports?

If anyone could help it would be much appreciated. Could it be a wider issue with using Vista and this software, has anyone else had success doing reports on Vista?

Regards,

Mart
