I finally saw this movie just a few weeks ago. I thought it was really well done. The main character, Adam, was a lot like our daughter except there are certain features that are present in men with Asperger's that aren't really found the same in women. For instance, the way he was so obsessed with space and talking about it. That sort of thing is really prevelent in the men. Our daughter and other girls like her don't really do that. In fact, this trait makes it so our daughter doesn't like guys with Asperger's. They drive her crazy! But the anxiety he displayed was exactly what she experiences. Not to derail the line of discussion, but I thought Adam, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1185836/ , was one of the best movies I saw last year. Just wondering if someone who has a child with Asperger's could enjoy the film? I am sure our perspectives are very different.
This weekend there's going to be a movie on HBO about Temple Grandin. She has autism and is one of the most fascinating people ever. We don't have HBO so I won't get to watch it, but I'm anxious to see it when it's available to me.

Rooster, I can honestly say that you're not going to become autistic! While there may be people that are trying to shut you up, autism wouldn't do it.
