Encore Pro 2.2 Issue

So I just installed Encore Pro 2.2, and everything worked fine, except when i try to download my info using the download from device function my SD reader is not listed. Is it possible that this is because no driver exists for anything below Vista for my card reader? Im assuming I have to buy a reader supported by XP? If anyone has any clue please let me know it would help a lot.

if you open the extracted file, there is another exe file in there aside from epsetup, something about a card reader or encore smart card setup or something, you need to install that aswell and restart your computer eventhough it doesn't ask you to, this is the only way i got it to work.

I apologize if I offended you. I probably should have considered this prior to assigning it!
Anyway, I tried doing as you said but Virtual XP still does not recognize any card readers... I usually can figure this stuff out but there is not a whole lot of documentation floating around yet.

there are also 3 pdf flies that come with it, did you read these? These contain step by step instructions on how to work the software.

by the way, i use windows vista 32 pro so i am not that much help on the 7 side of things.

Unfortunately, i am not seeing anything related to running the program in a Virtual environment on windows 7 X64. I may try installing this on my other laptop but hopefully i can eventually get it running on this one. By the way I am using a HP Pavilion DV7-1000, if that helps (i doubt it will).

Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Administrative Tools\services\ and make sure both "Smart Card" and "Smart Card Removal Policy" are set to automatic, and then start them both and try again.

Save your money... Viewer won't work with your machine.

I set the "smart card" service to automatic but I am not seeing the removal policy. Is this required to read the data?

Can someone explain step by step how to install this software. SQL server 2008 express needs to be downloaded? Everytime I run the setup program it takes me straight to a "reboot required" screen and nothing happens. Please help!
