i use swiftLT mask, with a heated hose. humidifier is on 3, I cannot tolerate it at a lower setting, i wake up with a dry scratchy throat, or worse, wake up with the mask off.
the problem im having is not major, more of an annoyance, but.. does anyone sell a hose cover for the small hose that is part of the mask? im getting just enough rainout in the small hose that is part of the mask that it sometimes wakes me up
sell. please. I've lived with myself for 35 years, and that's long enough for me to know that not only am I not crafty enough to make my own (i can barely thread a needle), I just plain won't do it. I'd prefer to just buy one, have it sent to my house, open the box and boom, instant hose cover. yeah, I'm spoiled
i searched the forum and didn't find anything, all the results i found were about a hose cover for the big hose, or a heated hose. but I seem to remember reading about some product out there that was a little hose cover for this mask. I've checked cpap.com and didn't see, google searches all return hose covers for the big hoses.
if there isn't anything commercially available, i could possibly talk to my sister about making me one. but.. id rather avoid that. cause i just don''t like talking about this with my family (different topic, yeah, I've got issues
also
i know you're not supposed to have anything blocking the vent of the mask, but is sleeping under the covers technically blocking it? even if the blanket is touching the mask, is there still enough breathing room for it?

You might want to try Pad A Cheek. I bet if you contacted her she would be happy to help:

I don't recommend sleeping with your head / nose under the covers even without xPAP therapy. No different. Though less chance of too much CO2 buildup (since the machine pulls air outside of the cover). Still anything that blocks the airvent will build up CO2 in the mask. Not a good thing.
Just my 2 cents on the matter.

I think this might be what you're looking for - https://www.cpap.com/productpage/Snuggl ... ystem.html. I found it on CPAP.com I believe it a cover for the short hose attached to the mask.
Good luck!

xiola,
Here's a link to the small hose cover at Pad A Cheek: http://www.padacheek.com/PAC_Hosecover.html (scroll down to the bottom of the page). I have the micro fleece short hose cover. It's well made and it works great!
