From Mask to Pillows

Post by Susancarol » Mon Feb 01, 2010 10:21 am

I have been using my c-pap machine for about 4 months now. Have used to Mirage Quattro Full Face Mast from the beginning
but am getting tired of having all of those lines and ridges in my face. So, I decided to try the Swift LT Nasal Pillows System.
Last night was my first night to use it and finally around 1:15 I had to take it off. One of the nose things had come out and I couldn't get it back in and was leaking air. Also, I got a Respironics Premium Chin Strap and I think that I was still able to open my mouth while I slept. Is this defeating the purpose of the whole think. Suggestions on how to switch over.

Thanks,
Sue

lines and ridges are from having the straps done up too tight

First, try to adjust the straps and angle of the nose piece of Swift LT to eliminate the leak. When it is properly fitted, it should not leak (no wind noise) at all. Mine leaks sometimes when the angle is not properly set so that the nose piece is not perpendicular to my nostrils. Just my 2 cents worth!
