I haven't bought this software although I do own (well...rent) a PR system one. But i have heard that not many if any have succeeded in using any type of software available to consumers. How do you like the machine? It is my first CPAP and it seems very decent to me! Of course I have not tried the Respironics M series except at my sleep study. Let us know if you find out anything about the compatibility of system one and encore! Good Luck.

Yes, you can get it working, but most of the issues I've found have directly to do with the .NET installation. If the .NET software isn't working as expected, then the Encore software won't work ok. I have it working on one machine, but another machine I can't get the install working as the .NET is somehow messed up. Of course the machine that has the .NET issue is the one that had a SD reader connected

PM me with your issue, and I'll see what i can't figure out.

I love my system, but one word of caution, keep that humidifier filled at least every other night. I goofed and let mine go dry at 5 a.m. I woke up with this hot brning plastic smell in my mask. I thought the house was on fire! After I woke up enough to realize what had happened, I shut the machine off and refilled the humidifier. I then had to let the machine run about 10 minutes ti purge that noxious smell out of the hoses, mask, etc. PHEW!!!!!

Any way back to the original question. I downloaded a copy of the software and can't get anything to work. I guess I'll wait for the new version of viewer or what ever is coming out.

I just exchanged some emails with Respironics. They are still working on the Encore Viewer software for the System One. Still saying it will be available "early this year". I guess that means no later than June? I am eager to get this software so I can do my own detailed monitoring. The DME provider just doesn't have the time....

SO! here is what I know.

It wont work on 64-bit operating systems. (the work around is to set up a virtual machine with 32bit running)
Most people have had the most success with Windows XP 32 bit.
It does rely on .net and SQL databases.

Here is what happened in my situation: My current computer is 64 bit so I couldnt use it.
-My OLD xp computer is 32 bit (most older ones are) and so I tried to install it on there.
-I ALREADY HAD .NET AND SQL DATABASES ON THE COMPUTER.- These previous installations caused problems.
-I went through the Add/Remove Programs function in the control panel and uninstalled EVERYTHING that said .net and SQL anywhere in the name.
-I did all of the windows automatic updates for XP and got everything current.
-After doing all this, I was able to successfully get it to install with all of its standard, unchanged installation settings.

I have been using the program without ANY problems since. I will mention one thing... I did play with the perscription function one day and it put a perscription on my card that overwrote my machines settings EVERY TIME I insterted it into the machine. That got annoying, so I wiped the card clean and started fresh with it. Luckily, all my data is already in the program on the computer, so I didint loose anything report wise.

The waveform report is extremely interesting. I can also see those "puffs of air" that have been discussed recently. (They annoy some people) but I can clearly see how they have helped me to snap out of a OSA and I'm glad the machine does them.

Anyway, what specific problems are you encountering?

there are three pdf files that come with the download, make sure and read these as they are detailed instructions on how to install, setup, and use the encore 2.2 software.
it does take quite a while to install and it may seem to be hung up but it isn't, it is installing.

I believe it can be done IF its a 32bit version... problem is, most new computers, (the kind likely to have windows 7) are 64 bit... so you are less likely to find a 32 bit version of windows 7 running out there.

I notice that not all of the daily reports show the waveforms - most do not. Is there a way to have waveforms show up on every day's report? I've also noticed that on one of the daily reports, the waveform didn't cover the entire time.

Hello Karl,

From what I have observed, the machine writes over the Waveform Report every day (or two?). In other words, at any given time, there are only one or maybe two Waveform Reports on the card. But, when you download the card, then the latest Waveform Report is saved in the database on your computer, and it is then available later. In order to have copies of the Waveform Reports for every day, I believe you have to download your data every day. To make it even more complicated, the machine doesn't seem to write to the card until several hours after you stop using the machine. I download my data every day, after noon, and then I end up with a Waveform Report for each day. That is my expereince, anyway, and I would be glad to be corrected if anyone has other experience.

I like the Waveform Report, and I usually look at it in conjunction with the Detailed Report for that day, to see what happened that night.
