My Dr says just to swipe my data card and bring it in for reading. (I'm sorry, I don't remember the details of what equipment I use at this time but it's super quiet) Is there questions they always ask that I should be aware of? I figured I'd do the follow up, learn what I can, and then look into getting the card reader and software to help manage my therapy myself.
Took about 1 week to get used to it and sleep more than 4 hours with the mask on. Now I can sleep 7-8 hours great with the mask using a full humidifier (no heat applied, ambiant humidity) but some days I still feel wicked tired.

Re: Follow-up after receiving APAP 1 month ago next week.
What questions you ask hinge a lot on what your data reveals. Ask for a printed copy of your data so you can go over it again later as it's a lot to absorb during a first followup visit. But do ask if your AHI (Apnea Hyponea Index - an average number of events per hour) is in an acceptable range (generally under 5). If it is not, ask how they will change your pressures to improve this. Ask about the length of your events. Even if the count is low, you don't want them to be real long. Ask if your leak rate is appropriate for your mask and pressure.
I think those are the basics. It may be you'll need some adjustments to your settings to optimize your treatment. Hopefully with that and time you won't feel so wicked tired.
I'n not sure of your circumstances or if this will even apply to you, but I'll throw it out just in case. If this month on autopap is considered your titration, some places after that month take the autopap back and replace it with a cpap. I am not opposed to that IF all the data is excellent, but I am opposed to replacing it with a "dumb" machine. Just something to be aware of.
Let us know how your visit goes.

Looking at some product lists I think I have the Resmet AutoSet II (with heated humidifier...at least it looks just like mine) and the Resmed Quatro facemask.
I sure hope they don't yank my machine. I they already billed the 2k to my insurance and it is dead silent. I was expecting the noisy machines of old.

All the Resmed S8s and S8 IIs look alike. Look on the top of your Resmed in the navy blue area by your LCD screen. The name should be there. It could be the S8 AutoSet Vantage or the S8 AutoSet II.
