D**n. Very sorry to hear (read) that. I'm relieved that you didn't need stitches.

However, you should consider the residual value of blackmailing your mom. Just a thought.

Sleep well.

I read this to her; she laughed and said fat chance! I'm really glad I didn't need stitches; I'm just hoping with the ton of supplements I take and the low glycation diet that I don't scar

Well the red then maroon and now bright dark pink bruise is about the size of a nickel under outer edge of eye extending up over eyelid...I sorta look like I'm wearing weird dark pink eyeshadow applied in a moving car . The stick-like bandages show no sign of wanting to come off. It still hurts a bit, but it's also itchy so that's a good sign, esp as the swelling's pretty much gone.

Tomorrow the guys come to start the interior work from the storm damage...4 rooms ugh no idea how long that's gonna take...they think 2 . We've been packing breakables and unloading bookcases for days now and sneezing from all the dust (did I mention I HATE housework?). I am not parking in the neighbor's driveway and risking getting banged in the head again! My main PCs in the one room, so I'm not sure if I'll be be able to logon until they're done; it'll might turn into a nightmare of disconnected cables! I'll miss y'all if they cut me off...maybe I could threaten bodily harm if they do...

Well, it does sound like the healing process is going well. Must be all that healthy food and supplements you're putting into your body! I had a skin biopsy done a few months ago. I couldn't feel anything there for quite a few days afterward, but when it started itching I knew all was well with healing!

We'll miss you if you're not able to logon while they're doing construction. I hope they're in and out of there quickly and all is calm and quiet again soon!

OK, so far, good chunk of the painting's done and it looks great! Went from a creamy offwhite to a light orange sherbet sorta color, they say it's in the peach family...at any rate this is a match to ValSpars' Peach Encounter wahooo. We have a lot of wood -- teak, ash, pecan -- plus some beams that frame fieldstone around a fireplace and a beam where the cantilevered ceiling in the living room-den meets the flat ceiling of the dining area, the beams are all dark and look great next to this color. There's dust everywhere and we've been vacuuming, ran outta the microfiber cloths , so far normal sneezing so it should NOT affect mom's asthma or my chronic congestion. The cut itches like mad and I keep reminding myself not to touch. About to go get a lemon-pepper rotisserie chicken..no way to cook, that's one of the rooms being fixed and it's still a mess...the chikky was wonderful and it's a good thing we found some paper plates and bowls because we can't get to the china as it's in cabinets blocked by stacked storage containers of books and stuff .

Oh, and I did have a nest of cables and wires! 3 cables not needed, an extra power cord, and extra surge protector with 6 outlets...what a mess to straighten out! I am going to tape my surge protectors to the back of the desk so I don't hafta crawl around or bend over whenever something needs fiddling with.

Sounds like you're back to just the normal chaos going on, glad things are going better. I love the sound of that orange sherbet color! Yummy!
