hi everyone.
I have one of those weird questions, I never know If I should put it here.
When I started Menapause about 4 yrs ago...I noticed my ear wax was dissapearing. By about 3 yrs ago...I had none at all.
My ent. said its old age? (I am only 52!)
Now after about 8 weeks of using a mask. I am getting it back. Sometimes when on the machine, I get that feeling like you do when changing elevations.
Is this something you have heard of? Or am I just really strange
no ear wax before cpap. now I have it?

I've never noticed any change in ear wax production , but I definitely feel the change in pressure in my ears, especially if I need to swallow. That can be really uncomfortable.

You know, its weird... But i've noticed that too!!!! I usually keep Q-tips next to my bed to help with that. I often use a neti-pot with saline salt rinse as well. that helps.

I have been having a problem with ear wax also, but I thought that it was from the air blowing. I didn't have this problem before cpap. I have not had that feeling of elevation change like you have had. I keep having problems with my sinus since cpap.

hi
I am glad to see I am not alone with this weird thing.
Although...I don't consider this to be a bad thing. Aren't we supposed to have wax. At least a little?
Its just been so strange.

I've always had a lot of ear wax....I had hoped that being on cpap might do something about it....but I guess not.

Little, Since you are saying that now you have it again, then I would think it's decrease and eventual disappearance is cause by OSA. The more I read and the more I hear about different things, the more I kind of go in circles.
I am going in circles because so many problems come back to not sleeping well, hence many of our health problems are caused by OSA.
