RESMED filter question

Post by SnoozyWoozyCat » Mon Jan 11, 2010 6:47 pm

I think the DME sent me the wrong filters for my RESMED VPAP Auto 25. My filter is blue and white and is somewhat square. The filters they sent me are blue and white but are a more narrow, rectangular shape. I called them and was told that they are the correct filters and I should "mold them to fit the machine". Before I make a ruckus and send these back, just wanted to make sure that there are multiple sized filters for the RESMED machines. I'm guessing they sent me the wrong filters because attached was a note indicating to not open the package until I had made sure these were the correct filters for my machine.

Never a dull moment when dealing with the DME providers! Thanks for your help.

Sounds like they sent you after-market filters instead of ResMed filters.

I thought that at first but the bag is sealed and there is a RESMED booklet with the filters. Oh well, I'll continue researching cuz I don't think these are the correct ones.

Are there any alternatives to the white allergen filter? I was wondering if there was something else I could purchase myself and possibly cut to size or form fit in there that would do the same job as the white filter.

I still have the black block filters that I clean every week or so, but was wondering if I should replace the allergy filter as well since I haven't had one in there for a while.

I have a ResMed VPAP S, and I believe both machines use the same filter, for S8 machines. My filters are 1 3/8" on the wide end and they are 1 3/8" long and of course blue and white. The ResMed part number is 33916.

I suppose I can't complain... just found them on Ebay for about a buck a filter. Went ahead and purchased a 6 pack.
