I slept HORRIBLE last night, why?

Post by mtb211 » Mon Jan 11, 2010 11:08 am

I slept very bad last night, I woke up 2 hours after I went to bed and could not fall into a deep sleep, I didnt drink alcohol, smoke a cigaret or have caffeine. I did wake up with some sweats, but I dont feel sick.... Anyknow ever have this happen.

I used my cpap also, I tried W.O the machine too but It did not seem to do much

Even without sleep apnea, we have occasional bad nights.

Even using a cpap machine will not stop anyone from having an bad night once in a while. it happens to everyone.

Sometimes anger or anxiety make it difficult for me to fall asleep.

How about the room temperature? My husband was feeling cold a few nights ago and didn't sleep well.

There are lots of factors that add up to a good nights sleep and this cold weather spell is no help. Cooler room temperature and the cooler outside Winter air seem to lower the indoor humidity all which seem to reduce the quality of sleep. Checking and making adjustments to the temperature, humidity and fixing drafts helps.

Having one night of poor sleep is okay but if it last longer than 2 nights then you should be concerned and problem solve . I am very happy to have 3-4 nights of week of good sleep with cpap compared to having 7 nights of poor sleep pre-cpap.
