What a sweet experience! Pretty little things. Our house has a screened-in porch and there's a torn place high up that I've not had the energy to repair so for the past several last yr a mommy Caroline Wren has come inside and made a nest in one of the potted plants. We first discovered this when she was teaching her 4 babies how to fly...all over the porch, little birds on the outdoor wrought-iron furniture, atop the freezer, atop the storage cabinet, into the potted plants, onto the side tables, onto the small dining table, clinging to the screening...everywhere! Now you have to understand that my mom feeds birds, a lot of birds, we literally have a bird smorgasborg (?sp). To get outside you go thru the porch, so this becomes an interesting challenge as she & the babies get freaked out when we go thru the porch! Watching thru the sliding doors is absolutley hypnotizing! Of course, this only started after the last of our cats joined the Great Cat Goddess BAST in the other world as several of ours were fearsome hunters and would have enjoyed 'our' supplying them with convenient tasty tidbits if they only could figure out how to open those doors...I bet we'd have never been able to unglue them from those doors as she raised her babies.
