HELP!!!
Re: HELP!!!
What position do you sleep in? Is your head on a strange angle because of the mask and hose? I had lower ribcage pain that radiated around to my back because of the muscles I was using to exhale against pressure -- could it be the new pressure is causing muscle pain? Does the pain change as you breathe in or out? Mine did...it got better. Maybe the exhale pressure needs adjustment?

Re: HELP!!!
Sorry to here about your pain problems. I have been on my machine for only 3 months now, and have a fairly high setting of 20 cm H2o, which has taken some getting used to I'll admit. But has caused no pain as you described. However, during Thanksgiving, while spending several days with relatives, I did experience some very painful aches that felt as though they went all the way through me from across my shoulder blades, and into my ribs or lungs, and ached all day long. It was actually painful to just breathe. I figured maybe it was the bed or pillows? Pain went away after I went Home. Went back to the same relatives over Christmas, Only I took my pillows this time and the pains still returned. The only other thing that was different was the position of my VPAP machine. At my house it sits about 6 inches lower than my mattress. At my relatives house, there was nowhere else to put my machine except on the floor. So the second night I set it up on a chair getting it closer to the mattress height, and no more pains for the remaining three nights at my relatives. I don't know why, but this seemed to stop the pains. Hope you can find the solution to what is causing yours. Best wishes for your success.
