Leak music

Post by rosiefrosie » Sat Jan 02, 2010 2:02 pm

I finally decided that I should try a different mask and got the Mirage Liberty full face mask. I have been having success with the Swift Lt for her, but have to tape. I thought the Mirage Liberty may do the trick. Wrong........ I didn't realise masks could leak that much. I tried everything and it still leaks. I don't even have to move and I can blow air out the sides. What I have found out is that by moving my face different ways I can make different sounds and have actually started to compose music. Anyone else out there interested in starting a cpap band?

You're too funny..........I recently tried the Quattro mask without much success. I did not, however, have the good sense to thing of the leaks in such a way.

I still don't have any rhythm, so won't be applying for your band.......but certainly can occassionally make some great sound effects.

You should have gotten the Hybrid. It comes with three sizes of mouth cushions and this would have given you a better chance of getting a leak-free fit.

HI,
I am using the LIberty, but from what I have heard about the hybrid, it does seem like the better mask, as Rooster says.
The problem is that the Liberty comes only in 2 sizes. I am in between the small and the large size. The small sealed really well but made my lower teeth hurt. I am able to wear the large size but it does take some fiddling with. I was just about to return mine when I thought I'll try it one last time. I loosened all the straps, adjusted it in sitting at max. pressure then in lying and lo and behold it worked.

But I still tend to get cheek farts at times and think I could play back-up for your Aerophagia and the Leakers' band.

I am actually a professional musician and I would be glad to make arrangements, book gigs, provide rehearsal space, etc. We could become the hosehead version of the Blue Man Group. It's a good thing that we can all have a sense of humor about this.

Y'all remember: the RespCare Hybrid fits much differently than the ResMed Liberty, so if'n y'all wanna try again with a hybrid-style, there's the RespCare Hybrid to try...just saying

Is JNK gonna make CDs/DVDs available? We pappers need songs!!!!
