I'd be hopping mad!

Although a co-worker made the rounds last week showing everyone the cockroach in his corn-muffin! (At least it wasn't HALF a roach...)

Remember when the worst thing in Coca-Cola was the genuine "Coca"?

Do you think it is time for Pepsi to revive their 1950s slogan?

The site doesn't say where to get the frogs.

That is gross. Rooster, I used to do fire inspections and we would go as a group. Fire, health, building we would go together. One day I went into a mexican restaurant to do an inspection. I had eaten there before and I knew the place looked ok at least from the customer point of view. I was a little concerned when I went into the kitchen. Then I was horrified, as I bumped into the drum of sala and the top of the salsa became alive and flew out. The 55 gallon drum of salsa was kept open and was full of flies. I swear if there was one there were a million of them. Needless to say I walked out and refused to sign off on their license, I didn't care that I wasn't the health inspector I wrote it up and walked out.

To this day I can only eat in a restaurant where I can see the kitchen area.

Oh there are some gross stories about restaurants. What got me was a very clean looking Radisson hotel restaurant with a high health grade. Sick to death for one week and the doc called me at 10:00 at home one night because, as she put it, "When I saw you last night, I was afraid you would not make it through the night." My lunchmate's doctor had her spend one week in the hospital hooked up to IVs.

We ate chicken cordon bleu. No doubt it was not cooked all the way through and with the cheese and ham in there, neither of us noticed. Now I always cut a chicken dish through the thickest part and inspect before taking a bite.

I was part owner of a small restaurant/B&B/store. I had to take an official food safety course. The examples of what not to do were ... gross.... I didn't eat out for weeks after I took the course.

Note that the health inspector always made sure he arrived around lunch time so he could eat at our place. Our kitchen was wide open and we baked our own bread and grew a lot of our vegetables organically. Our only "sneaky" thing was that we bought our eggs locally from farmers who had organic free range hens. One was supposed to buy eggs only from officially licensed places - most of whom factory farmed them.

I'd say their people are in a board room somewhere discussing their hope that no one remembers that slogan. I don't remember it, but I was a wee one then. The mention of More Bounce to the Ounce took me back to the skating rink/dance tune from the early 80's by Roger and the Zapp Band with Bootsy Collins.

Being a Pepsi fan, I'll now spend some time listening to that song online and trying to forget the other images in my head.

Surprised that a wet lizard is repulsed by a wet frog.

I don't believe this to be true for a nanosecond. They put the thing in there. While I did once have a cigar in a bottle of Coke MANY years ago, those were returnable bottles and I can see how a cigar couldn't be washed out. Almost forgot a can of baby juice had an insect in it. Sent it to Heinz and they sent back a few coupons. My son was nicknamed the bug-sucker for a while after that. Cans are usually made off-site from the actual filling process so it is possible that a foreign object got in, but remote.

This is likely another "finger in the chili" attempt to defraud a company of money. I would say that unless someone suffered immediate health effects, they are better off just forgetting the situation. The louder they scream, the more it smells of a hoax.
