Firmware to Convert Resmed Auto 25 to ST?
Re: Firmware to Convert Resmed Auto 25 to ST?
To slightly highjack the thread: Is there a mechanism for any end user to update the firmware in the field for any ResMed?

Re: Firmware to Convert Resmed Auto 25 to ST?
Victor,
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say no.
2 problems:
1. The firmware and the cables needed to update it would be nearly impossible to obtain.....although if one tries hard enough and long enough you may be able to find them.
2. Even if you obtained the above items we don't know that the 25 and the ST share the same PCA. I have a friend who is a certified Respironics repair tech and the classic models of the BiPAP Auto and the BiPAP ST used different PCA's, so changing the firmware would basically render the machine useless.
So I guess I also answered your question too Llama, yes there is such a device, obtaining one however.......but I always say "never say never"
