Good call getting two masks. You'll want a backup on the boat, and it's great to switch between nasal pillows and nasal. Many people find it gives their face and nose relief to switch it up a bit.

Here is a fit instruction video on the Swift LT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9U81aasaQHw. Be sure to bring spare filters for your machine! It might be hard for even CPAP.com to deliver out on the ocean

Yep, yep, I'd have a spare hose too as well as the two masks and several extra filters. An extra tank for the humidifier isn't a bad idea. I'm still using my original water tank which is 3 years old. But you never know, if your one and only gets dropped and broken ...... you might also want to have an extra cushion(s) for each mask.

I have the same two machines; using the S8 as my primary and the PR System One as the backup.

I also use the Swift LT nasal pillows...you may want to consider getting some extra pillows, as they seem to only last a month or so (not sure how long you'll be on the ship for).

I'm a big fan of redundancy...extra filters is a good idea...spare hose? Spare of each mask? (check out http://www.cpapauction.com for inexpensive masks). I even bought a spare humidifier chamber for each machine in case it breaks. Did you consider supplies for cleaning your gear (soap, clean container to soak things in, etc)?

How is the power aboard the ship? UPS or battery necessary?

Also if their are any adaptors that you would need to use either machine without it's humidifier take them with. My machine has a small adaptor that I need to use the machine without the humidifier.

You have 2 top of the line machines, but I am curious why buy 2 different models. Doesn't make more sense to use the same model machine in both locations? This way when you down load data you are comparing the same algorithms. Also if something breaks like a humidifer you can swap out the part while waiting for broken part to be replaced? Just asking.

I would also think if you have insurance you would want the same machine for a back up as your front line, or if you have a second machine in a second location IE summer home or job. That way if one of them breaks the insurance will cover the repairs without a question. If you have two different units the insurance will not cover it.
I have talked to a BCBS rep about this and they told me to purchase the same thing as my second unit.

Thanks everyone some good advice...The power on boat is standard 110 so I am okay there I will pick up some filters and spare tanks for sure. The reason I got the two different machines is that I got a super deal on cpapauction on the autoset 2 and I was in the US at the time so shipping was free ..I am in Canada Thanks again
