Apparently, ResMed does not allow cpap.com to distribute the Smart Card Reader outside the US! Any fellow Canadians know a way to get that smart card reader from ResMed?

That's right, cpap.com is no longer allowed to ship Resmed products out of the US (Resmed policy imposed on online sellers).

I don't have a Resmed machine but some on the fourm are buying their software for Resmeds from Australia. I have seen it on cpapauction.com from time to time. Sellers there can still ship to Canada if they are willing and most are if you ask them.

It was $27.99 + $15 shipping + taxes = $48.59. Quick turnaround for delivery. If you are close to Markham you can pick it up, save the shipping.

Basically works the same as the ResMed reader, but doesn't have the guide to slide the thin memory stick in. You can build your own guide, or just mark off where you have to slide it in straight.

I just purchased a ResMed S8 Adaptor for my VPAP Auto 25 last week from the company you mentioned. Got the software off of eBay. Everything works just fine. Maybe try for the adaptor rather than the card reader. Good Luck.

CPAP.com can't ship ResMed products DIRECTLY to Canada. My order was also rejected. Call CPAP.com customer service, they are very friendly and helpful.

If you don't have a friend or relative in the US, then you can have it shipped to a US courier location (I don't remember which one it was) FedEX or UPS and they can receive and ship it to you. I was going to go that route if my aunt didn't want to do it for me, but luckily she did. Ordering from Australia is significantly more expensive.
