Water Tray gets stuck on Respironics M Series Pro

Post by dderrick » Sat Nov 14, 2009 1:45 pm

I have a Respironics M Series Pro with a humidifier. Many times when I attempt to remove the water reservoir tray to replace the water or clean the container it is extremely hard to remove. It can take quite a bit of effort to unseat the reservoir with either shaking it back and forth or knocking it to get it to unseat itself. This occurs more when the heat on the humidifier is set to 1 or 2. The tray goes in quite easily after cleaning and filling but in the morning when I remove it that is when it may be very difficult to unseat. What cause this and how can it be prevented?

My Mseries does that same thing.

Before you try to pull it straight out,
gently pull straight up and break the seal on the couplings.

Then pull straight out.

You could also try replacing the couplings.

Interesting. I have the M Series Pro and remove the water chamber every morning and allow it to air dry. I have never had problems removing it. Go figure!

I used to do that, too.
Now I use a Resmed and let the machine do that for me.

Do you turn the machine off before you try to remove the water reservoir? If not, try doing it that way.

I had the same problem and noticed that I had some build up or spillage inside the humidifier on the place. This was from being careless when I filled the chamber and not wiping it down completely before inserting it into the machine. I wiped things out inside there and the problem went away until I had more build up again.

try some Chapstick on the couplings or any lip balm also a lift straight up helps..

My thought is ALL the machines are Female!!!
