3rd day newbie and already addicted

Post by Krazy Kat » Fri Nov 13, 2009 11:56 pm

I can believe how quickly I become addicted to this site!!! When I discovered it, I searched and studied and already feel like I've known some of you for a long time. Then when I got such positive replies to a couple of posts, I began to feel welcomed. NOW, I can't wait to get time to log on to read what's been happening since I was last on. For so many years, I felt like I was living with something that people just didn't talk about ... pretty lonely.

Welcome to the forum! I'm addicted too. Yes, this feels like such a safe place, with people who are knowledgeable, compassionate, and most importantly, really do understand what it's like.

Have you been on cpap for a long time? Tell us a little about yourself.

Welcome to the forum.

This in another one of those places ".....where everybody knows your name....."

I see you're another Montanan. There are a number of them here, so you're not alone in your state, either. It seems the Rocky Mountain states are pretty well represented on the forum.

I quite agree - this site, forum, and cpap.com has a wealth of information.
I am only into my 6th week with my equipment and have read a lot of tips that have proved to be beneficial.

I PM'ed another Canadian (from this site) regarding equipment purchasing & tips and she has been a wonderful support for me.

I recently purchased a new mask and hose holder from cpap.com which is half the ridiculous price in Canada - just waiting for delivery.

I intend to come back every day for a peek and absorb as much information as I can.

Thanks forum members for sharing your insight and tips.

Thank you all for your welcomes. I am a nine year user!! I love 'my machine' and it has saved my life. I have both central and obstructive that was diagnosed only after my lungs and heart were already damaged. I have been very alone with it until I found this site, so I am so glad to have found you ... it's kinda like finding a safe place where I 'fit in'.

I am a true prairie girl ... yesterday, I was helping with bringing cows in from summer range ... 4x4 only ... and the best part - from the tops of knolls, you can see for miles and miles and miles and not see any sign of human life ... NONE ... very peaceful.

I have lived several other places and moved back to the prairie from Salt Lake.

Welcome to my Fellow Addicts! I don't think I've missed a day since I joined this "family". In the unusual role as caregiver for my husband's therapy I really didn't have anyone to guide me until I found the support I needed here. They are the only ones who understood my situation completely and took me under their wings. I will always need their encouragement.
