My CPAP is labelled BiPAP?
My CPAP is labelled BiPAP?
Would there be any reason why my M Series Pro is labelled a BiPAP on the label attached to the bottom of the machine?

I had the same question earlier and the answer I got was that it just is that way on the REMstar M series from Respironics.

Aww... well, that's a disappointment.

Isn't that the Trade Mark label?Cygnusia wrote:Would there be any reason why my M Series Pro is labelled a BiPAP on the label attached to the bottom of the machine?
What really matters is what is written on top in white letters under the buttons.

I have no doubt, how I sleep affects every waking moment.
I am making progress-NOW I remember that I can't remember

If this isn’t rocket science why are there so many spaceshots?

I think it's just their way of messing with our little oxygen-starved minds...
The OSA patient died quietly in his sleep.
Unlike his passengers who died screaming as the car went over the cliff...

Re: My CPAP is labelled BiPAP?
It may have to to do with the C-Flex or A-flex reducing the exhalation pressure.
Re: My CPAP is labelled BiPAP?
Remstar and BiPap are both TM of Respironics Co.

Yes, it is indeed true that Respironics labels them BiPAP. You can look up your model # or just look at the top of the machine to see if it has C-Flex or Bi-Flex to see what you actually have. Confusing, huh?

Re: My CPAP is labelled BiPAP?
All the units use the same warning label (except the international units I believe). So the cflex, bipap etc will all say BiPaP on them even if they aren't a BiPaP. Even though it may be confusing, it is a way to avoid putting the wrong warning labels on them and having different labels for each type of unit.
