ACR 38 card reader

Post by Billyboy » Sat Nov 07, 2009 1:05 pm

Could I get a some people that have a working ACR 38 card readers to post the whole part number that is found onthe bottom of the reader? The one I just got is P/N: ACR38C-SPC-R and I cannot get it to work with resscan 3.7. The ACS Utility program sees the card in the reader and I am 99% sure I have made a correct card guide. Thanks for any imput.

I have ACR38U-SPC-R, and it works great. You may not be inserting the card right. It will only have an active connection when the card is in correctly..

Are you inserting the card with contact pins facing UP?

Yes ,I am inserting the card with the contact pins facing up. The ASC utility program sees the card , resscan does not. I built a card guide that alines the contact points and divisions between them exactly to match a resporinics card which is 54mm wide I am assuming the contacts aline in both readers in the same location? It appears to be lining up.
