twokatmew - I have had no trouble at all with the different type and length of the Comfort Curve hose. I wore it, exculsively for 2 years. Never had it tear or wear in any way. I now use it off and on with the Swift LT and have never had a problem with the hose.

Soemone said changing it in the middle of the night, with that different hose, could be a pain because you would have to change the hose as well. I did change to the Comfort Curve (never changed from it) during the night a few times when I was struggling with the SwiftLT (before the Velcro fix) and I did, of course have to change the hose too.

I have 2 hooks inside the bedroom closet door. One holds the Comfort Curve hose and the other holds my spare regular mask hose so it's a pretty quick switch.

I am using the Swift LT for her and am having great problems with a rash at the base of my scalp where the bottom strap crosses. I have used a cpap for 4 yrs and this is my 2nd mask style. I have almost no problems except the itchy rash and the nose pillows slipping. I use a mild soap to wash the mask each week and I wash the nasal pillows each day. The side straps over my cheeks leave a deep crease that takes all morning to go away.(I just tell people why I have the crease) Does anyone use a cover over the straps. I do not use my humidifier as I am in hot old Florida with 100% humidity.
Thanks for any suggestions,
Deb

I got the covers made just for the LT from cpap.com -- no more marks on my face

Thanks for your response. I JUST ordered the wraps just for the LT. I hope I have the great success that you had. I am going back to the dermatologist about my rash. It sort of feels like dermatitis since it itches and the hurts when I scratch it absentmindedly.

The Swift LT for Her comes with those soft wraps, and they work great. No marks. I hope the dermatologist can help with the rash. I'm still struggling with this mask, but I don't want to go back to the nasal mask, so I guess I like it. My nose is still getting used to the pillows, which means I have difficulty sleeping, but I have 0.0L/s leaks!

I received the Swift LT strap covers from cpap.com yesterday. After just one night I am impressed to see no deep strap creases on my cheeks. Thank you for the referral to the site.

Hey there,

Did you ever find the cause of the scalp rash

I have been using the Swift LT for 3 weeks and I'm having the exact same problem at the back of my head - right on the hairline between the scalp and neck.

I am wondering if it's the buckle on the bottom strap. I will try and loosen the strap, but my neck is so sore there I may have to take a couple of nights off cPAP.

Any suggestions gratefully received

Ta!

I know that I end up with psorasis on the back of my scalp/neckline.

Padacheek made me a pad for the bottom strap of my headgear... it works great.

The following two things appear to have helped me stabilize the Swift LT for Her. This assumes you have the correct pillow size for you, which is maybe the biggest factor in leakage through the nose. Also assumes you do not have a significant leak through the mouth.
1) I have the hose coiled up under the covers with me (hose cozy in place). Relieving all significant pull from the side made the biggest difference for me in the mask staying in place all night.
2) Several forum members recommended Ayr gel. I use just a little bit around the nostrils before placing the pillow (more makes me feel exactly like I have a runny nose). This coincided with a leak improvement, which is good enough evidence for me. I'm not stopping.

Thanks - I'll look into it.
