Everyone's saying the right thing:
Turn up the ramp time. When I started I went to 45 minutes
Turn the EPR to max, if that doesn't work, then you need a Bi-Pap (I use one)
A full-face mask always freaked me out. Try a nasal mask. It's much easier, just don't try to talk, or anything else that opens your mouth.
Make sure your nasal passages are OPEN. I take a squirt of Dristan every night (only 1 squirt)
A cool room generally helps, turn on a fan near your bed to help mask the sound of the machine. A small breeze on your face can help with any claustrophobiia

After 1 week I am miserable
Re: After 1 week I am miserable
Your're not alone with dealing with issues. I have been on CPAP for about 2 weeks and still struggling. Some of the issues were the full face mask causing issues on my face and constant leaks. The mask that I am now on is a Hybrid which does not have that claustrophobic effect. However, over the last few days my allergies have been playing up and also have a chest cough. Had to use OTC nasal spray last night which made it better to breath. The only problem is that I couldn't get to sleep after 3 1/2 hours of tossing and turning with the CPAP on. The problem was the noise of me hearing me breathing in/out and the slight machine noise. I am a light sleeper and I just can't get used to these extra noses. Had to take the CPAP off at 10.30pm so that I could at least get some sleep or my next day at work would suffer. Just hang in there as we us newbies are all suffering and fighting either the mask or machine.

I have had the machine...and I gather a decent one for months and cannot seem to adjust...good luck.
