But, I'm sitting here at work trying not to dose again!!! Darn it all! This is horrible! I NEED SLEEP!!!
Well, not to worry you, but even with my machine, I'm having trouble staying awake. I think it probably has something to do with not getting 8 hours each night do to our 4-month old son... but I'm basically using caffeine and energy drinks to stay mostly awake throughout the day. I'm not sure that I'd suggest the same, as it's easy to make your body used to such things, thus needing more and kinda being forced to take it to be "normal", but it's an option.
Come to think of it, there might be a correlation with the pills I have to take on a daily basis, for my high blood pressure, herniated cervical disks, and pinched nerves... not to mention my current condition with the spondylosis, which is narrowing of the canal around the spinal cord (again, due to herniated discs) and the associate bowel problems.
Anyway... Point is I'm a medical mess of a new father and damn! I NEED MORE SLEEP!

Dotty, I have been there. I used to close my office door or go hide in the new mom's nursing room and take a nap. Also couldn't drive for more than about 15 minutes without feeling like I needed to call someone on my cell to stay awake.

Doesn't seem right that it is taking so long for your machine. I echo the suggestion to call and see where you are in the process. This really is a life-threatening situation and you need help now.

When I started using CPAp, I didn't like it. But I did start feeling more alive within a couple of weeks of continuous use.

Hang in there. And I don't think you were whining either. You are here needing help, and this is the place to get it.
