Resprinocs M Series--Blue Lights Blinking

Post by DannyPh » Tue Sep 22, 2009 9:34 am

I have the Resprinocs M Series Machine ( Approx 3 yrs old ) and I noticed the Blue light were blinking this morning or I should say Flashing, They were nor going completely off but just Flashing, Does anyone know if this is a common Feature for this Machine or if there might be a Malfunction about to take place. The Machine is working fine as Far as performance--just the lights blinking. Thank you

Do you have the clinicians manual for that? There is a section in there that describes what is wrong based on the flash code. Mine did that when the power supply was bad.

Read further down the (front) page of the forum. May depend if yours is AC or DC powered and there are other possibilities concerning your problem (like your humidifier and your CPAP are not solidly connected).

Mine is a/c powered. I contacted my DME--RT was not in so still waiting on a Return Phone Call. I am still using the orginal HH Tank so I am wondering if the Heating Plate on the Tank is Bad after three yrs of Usage? I have another new HH Tank so If I don't hear from the RT I guess I will swap tanks and see if the lights still blink? I am confused. After reading the owners manuel ---should the Blue lights on the machine blink if the HH Tank Heating Plate is Bad ? I would assume that only the blue light on the HH Control knob would blink ? Thank you

Mine just started doing the same thing the other night.

I overlooked the post that Wulfman linked because I didn't think of my humidifier as being "DC powered" Take a look at the topic that he linked and look at the pictures further down that are provided by TheDreamer. You might find that your unit is considered "DC powered" as well, even though it plugs into the wall.

I've had that happen when the machine "thought" the data card was not in properly.

The blinking blue light is on the humidifier knob only, not all the lights on the whole unit. There's no way that the humidifier would know if the card is in or not. The only two connections between the two parts are the "air path" and the power cord where the main unit leeches its power from the humidifier.
