A couple of nights ago I took the tank out of my humidifier to full it, only to notice that it was already full. "How sweet," I thought. Apparently my wife had filled it for me in a kind and loving gesture. Last night, I noticed that it was again full. That was what got me suspicious.
I noticed that the light on the humidifier dial was not lit. I turned the knob all the way to both sides but there was no change. I checked to see that the humidifier was plugged in and that the cord hadn't come loose, but all was fine there, so I unplugged the entire machine and plugged it back in. When I did, all the lights came on as usual, but the humidifier light blinked a couple of times, then went out.
The unit is just over a year old, so I'm hoping that it is still under factory warranty. I looked on the Phillips Respironics website, but the only literature that I was able to find is sales brochures. I've contacted them asking for some assistance, but am not confident that I will receive the help I need.
Has anybody had this happen to them before? I can't just take the machine in to my DME because I'm uninsured and purchased the machine myself (through cpap.com). Unfortunately, we've moved since I got the machine and I'm not sure where the bundle of paperwork that came with it has hidden itself. Any info would be great.
Thanks!

Ironically, I saw the topic title but didn't read it. I saw "DC" and figured that it was some type of battery operated unit, not mine, since mine plugs into the wall. My unit is the first listed in the Respironics letter.
I guess that's what happens when you troll the message boards at 4am without having gotten any sleep.
Thanks for the response! Now to get some coffee.
