CPAP Auctions--Legit??
CPAP Auctions--Legit??
I have been interested in a few items on CPAP auction in the last couple of months and have sent the sellers a question or two about the items. I all but one case they refused to answer the question. Is CPAP auction legit? I don't feel comfortable bidding on items from anonymous sellers who refuse to discuss their products.
Re: CPAP Auctions--Legit??
Yes CPAP Auction is legit. With that said, they can only control the sellers to some degree, like E-Bay! I have bought several things and got some good deals, There have been a few reports of buyers that got stung. Often depends on the seller!! I ask questions, if they won't answer questions I won't bid on the item. I have seen things sell for more than you can buy them new from cpap.com. Know what you are bidding on and what it is worth.

Hi Greybeard
I was wary of using cpapauction as I live in Australia. However, I asked a few questions of the 2 sellers I contacted, and got replies. Maskman2 was particularly helpful as he sorted through different masks for me, and came up with 3 new one's, different brands, and airmailed them to me for less than the cost of a new mask here in Australia. But note, I was not bidding, just doing a straight purchase.
I will be using cpapauction again when they have a Sandman Auto for sale, and I will also get all my masks etc from there.
I guess the unknown will always be a risk, but for me it was worth it. And PayPal, whilst the dispute mechanism is a bit cumbersome, is a realistic safeguard.
cheers

I've placed my bid on a few items from that site and won. I've lost as well mostly from people who will come in at the last minute placing a bit. I've not had any problems from any of the sellers there.Greybeard wrote:I have been interested in a few items on CPAP auction in the last couple of months and have sent the sellers a question or two about the items. I even picked up my Auto unit there for $141.00.
