most apnea/O2 desat happens right after falling sleep (fig)

I got my oximeter last week. I compared the SpO2 reports with BiPAP data everyday. They are consistent. For every intensive apnea event (by intensive, I mean multiple apnea events happened in a very short period, large chunk purple mark in Encore Pro report), the SpO2 level dropped below 90%.

We have a newborn baby. So I need to get up multiple times during night to feed him. By reading my data, I realized most intensive apnea/O2 desaturation happened right after I falling sleep.

For example, below is the data for last night. I combined SpO2 and BiPAP report to a single figure. As you see, I woke up twice for about 20 minutes. All three intensive apneas/O2 desaturation happened 10~20 minutes after I turned on BiPAP (i.e. falling sleep).

Does that tell me something? Do you observe similar thing in your case?

The oximeter has a alarm function. Shall I set the alarm to go off once SpO2 drop below 90%? Will that save me from apnea/O2 desaturation?

I have no experience with your machine or using an oximetery alarm; however, during my PSG, I had many hypops with significant desats, so if I had an oximeter I would set the alarm at <90 or maybe even 91%.
