Throwing the FullLife in the Ring: PC11
Hello all,
A lot of buzz has surrounded the Respironics FullLife Mask since its release in July. Some good, some not so good. CPAPtalk.com and CPAP users want the final word on this new mask. Can it beat the current favorite, the ResMed Quattro?
Many of you have been able to try the new mask and have reported that the FullLife is still unknown at the DME level. Thank you for working within your communities to raise awareness. Socalmonkey, BleepingBeauty, AuntieNae, tatooyu: you and others have inspired us to join the effort and lend a hand!
We want ResMed Quattro wearers to try the FullLife and report back about their experience! I'm excited to present the eleventh Product Challenge from CPAPtalk.com. We are now inviting enrollees for the Respironics FullLife Mask vs. ResMed Quattro Challenge.
This is a great opportunity to cut out the middleman and get the answers we're clamoring for. Quattro users, if you are up for a Challenge and have a desire to help your community, please enroll! Feedback, feedback, feedback will shed the necessary light on this fight of the FFM!

Best wishes,

I guess that, as a Canadian (forum member and cpap.com customer willing to pay the shipping to be in the trial), I am still not eligible because I am not in the US? Would you confirm this please.

Hello Friends to the North (And East, West and South),
This is to confirm that, at this time, we are unable to invite those living in Alaska and Hawaii or Canada and other countries outside the US to Product Challenge.
Boo. I have to be the bearer of bad news. Not my favorite thing to do, especially to Canadians.
We really appreciate your presence and participation on CPAPtalk.com.

It's always "bad news" for these challanges as far as Canadians (and even some Americans are concerned), so I am not surprised. I just don't get it though.
I suppose that it will not improve as Resmed now has their "no shipping their machines to Canada" policy. If they haven't already, they will extend it to masks.
Even before that policy was in effect, it was still "no" for a group of us for the challenges.

Re: Throwing the FullLife in the Ring: PC11
I signed up, today! My DME can't get the FullLife yet and I REALLY want to try it. I have used the Quattro exclusively since I began therapy last December. It's a great mask for me, but I would like to change the pressure points on my face once in a while.
Keeping my fingers crossed that I am one of the "chosen".

Not to be argumentative, but is the Quattro the current favorite? I have one, but it gets no use. I much prefer
my Resmed Ultra Mirage Full Face. If you wish to include the UMFF(which in my case beat the Quattro), I would
be willing to participate.
Thanks

Re: Throwing the FullLife in the Ring: PC11
seturner4,
The Ultra Mirage and the Quattro are neck and neck, you're right. Last week the sales of the UMFF were higher. This week the UMFF is back to second place and the Quattro is first.
We could only pick one FFM to challenge the new FullLife. We chose to involve the Quattro in PC11. The Quattro has not been challenged yet, and that means also that Quattro users have not had the opportunity to participate in a Challenge.
I hope those reasons shed light on our decision to involve one and not the other. We try to pick the challenges that CPAPtalk.com members want to see. If there's one you'd like to see, please email me your suggestion at productchallenge@cpaptalk.com.
Best wishes,
Katherine

Re: Throwing the FullLife in the Ring: PC11
I signed up as well. I use the Hybrid as my main mask, and used to use the UMFF as a backup. Then I tried the Quattro, which I like, but am having some trouble with it. I really would like to have a FF mask that works well so I can give my nose a rest from the Hybrid! (My husband uses the Quattro exclusively, but isn't a member of the forum. Can you enter people who aren't a member of the forum?)

Non CPAPtalk.com members are welcome! Please encourage your CPAP using loved ones to get involved. Our goal is to make available more information on products. I hope that the more we know about products, the shorter the search will be for CPAP users.
I just got off the phone with a CPAP user who was just plain tired. He said he'd tried 7 masks with no luck. He mentioned also that he knew only 3 CPAP users. I asked him to drop by CPAPtalk.com where he could speak to and learn from thousands! Glad you're here to fight the good fight!

Don't feel bad Hawthorne, I'm stationed in Germany and will never be able to be a part of any of the challenges as well. I'm not too worried about it myself, but I do feel your pain.Hawthorne wrote:It's always "bad news" for these challanges as far as Canadians (and even some Americans are concerned), so I am not surprised. As the saying goes, no worries.

I qualify, and I'd sign up, but I don't think I have a copy of my prescription. I can get the Full Life as my 6 month replacement through insurance, if the comments are good.
I look forward to reading the results.

Signed up myself. Called a couple DME's and they did not know what I was talking about on the FullLife mask. Hope I didn't mess up my chances. Put the wrong date down for when I started. Off by a full year, 2008 not 2009. What was I thinking.

I just started my therapy one week ago with a Responics Fulllife It takes some adjuting to get it right(wish they had some quik-clicks instead of all velcroe)but is very nice I also have the Quattro but the forehead peice has caused me some pain I think if it had some foam padding it also would be great If I was to vote for best I would pick Fulllife.
