A Flex or C Flex

Check the above link for Respironics explanations of CFlex and AFlex.

In over simplistic terms CFlex is the older of the technologies and it is exhalation relief.
AFlex is newer and adds a "smoother" transition with the exhalation relief.

An auto unit with AFlex with offer both CFlex and AFlex.
An auto unit with CFlex will offer only CFlex.

I have the auto unit with CFlex. I used it on a setting of 1 when I started therapy and turned it off after about 2 weeks. I never missed it. Exhalation relief is a personal comfort choice and feature.

It's a personal preference choice with the flexes. I like the A- Flex set at 1 but everone is different. Some don't like either C-Flex or A-Flex, as Pugsy said.

I use the A-Flex, and have since I got the machine. I haven't tried turning it off or lowering it - it is extremely comfortable for me.
