Re: Thank you, everybody!!
Welcome Fishhead. I'm fairly new here too. And as far as not fitting the "profile", that happened to me as well, until I switched family docs to get a referral for things that were going wrong. I'm a bit older than you are, but active, not obese, and didn't exhibit any signs or symptoms of sleep apea during the day. Hubby said I snored and held my breath about 10 yrs ago but I ignored it. Not until I was away with friends and two of them on CPAP talked me into asking for a sleep study. Glad I did. I feel much more positive the last couple of days, and know that it will improve my overall health.
Keep up the good work, caps or no caps:)

Re: Thank you, everybody!!
i think both my gp and sleep doc will be a little quicker to suggest a sleep study - irregardless of their patients 'profile'.
i am also quickly becoming the most annoying sleep apnea advocate and am encouraging everyone i know that snores and/or is dealing with any type of health issue to check into it.
glad you're getting treated, whoknew, and feeling better already.
p.s. i thought capital letters cost more.
