Nuts? air conditioner

Post by cuibel » Tue Aug 18, 2009 10:41 pm

I left my cpap machine hundreds of miles away, but I have my mask and hose.
I'm home and will try duct-taping my hose to my window air conditioner vent to blow sweet cool air into my mask.
Any problems with this? Will I breathe in carbon monoxide? Insects? Will I die?
Will I get famous?

I am not sure, but depending on how long that thing has ran in the past, you could get lungs full of dust, dirt, etc. Of course you might not be hungry in the morning, but I don't think that would be a good thing.

Myself, I'd suggest not doing that. How long will you be where you are? Would it be possible for someone to either overnight or next day it to you?

Exhaust pipe from a car would supply more pressure.

And with a waste gate installed in the piping you could control the pressure. The O2 might be a little low. jim

But the sound of the motor running might keep you up. I'd just eat a couple cans of baked beans (three cans if your prescribed pressure is above 12 cm) before bedtime and stick the hose where the sun doesn't shine.

(This thread is getting way too silly. )
