Has anyone tried this?
I am wondering if it really helps with some of the sound.
Thanks in advance for all your imput.

Re: M Series Whisper Cap
Some find it works and some don't.
Here is a link to a previous thread ... viewtopic.php?p=387940#p387940
Some use background ambient noise (ie. fan, stereo, tv, etc.) to drown out CPAP noise .... others use ear plugs ... others put the CPAP machine in their night stand or under their bed.
Everyone is different and hears a different sound pitch (frequency) so what is ok for one person may be irritating as hell to another.

President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

Yep, I bought one. If you want my opinion, it made the machine louder, at least as far as the particular sound that I was trying to kill. I used it one night then tossed it in the drawer. It's an empty box that has the inlet tube entering at an angle and terminating in the corner.
Best I've been able to do so far for noise is to put a little wire shelf on the floor and setting the machine on the shelf inside the carry case with the machine pushed all the way towards the carry strap. The case bottom is ventilated. I just leave the case cover flop down, it kills the blue high beams and prevents heat build up.

Re: M Series Whisper Cap
I actually found it did decrease the sound level to a whisper.
I also found that having the device lower than the mattress level helped.
Together, it's extremely quiet.
But I understand from many others who post that not all machines respond the same way.

Depends what you're hearing .... for me, it killed the noise coming from the air intake on mine. But you can still hear the motor "whirring". Bottom line is if your pressures are high (mine is BiPaP 20/14)... might be worthwhile. Otherwise buy a longer hose and move the machine away more!
Re: M Series Whisper Cap
It does muffle the sound a little and sitting it on top of a folded towel also helps a bit. It's an inexpensive accessory.

I have had the whisper cap for about a year now & I love it, it's very quiet!lovecollies wrote:Has anyone tried this?

I use the white filter & the grey filter in my cpap machine right behind the whisper cap and no noise whatsoever, well worth the few bucks I paid for it but I do agree, it should be included with the machine.
