Away From Home with S8 Autoset II

Post by mdbarthe » Wed Aug 05, 2009 8:22 am

I'm leaving to go out of state this weekend and will not be home until next weekend. I won't have the ability to review my nightly detailed data until I return home.

If I download my data to the smartcard each morning when I awake and then read the card when I get back home home at the end of the week, will I be able to review each separate day of detailed data for the period I was gone?

I know how how to call up an individual day's data with the ResScan 3.7 software, I was just making sure that as long as I download to the car each morning, it will be available when I get home.

Thanks.

I'm not entirely sure about the AutoSet II. The S8 AutoSet Vantage would hold 5 nights of detailed data. I just took a second data card w/me and on the 4th or 5th night would download to the first card. Then when I got home or on the 9th or 10th night downloaded to the second card.

The AutoSet II holds 5 days of detailed data. It overwrites the card with the most recent 5 days. So you should download the data to your PC before you leave, and then insert the card into the S8 after the 5th night away to store the first 5 days of your trip. When you get home, load the data from the card to your PC, and then insert the card into the S8 to pick up the rest of the trip and load that to your PC. This should work as long as you are not away more than 10 days. (For more than 10 days, you will need and additional data card for each extra 5 days.)

If you are staying in a hotel i recommend taking a power extension cord.

I got a piece of that non-slip vinyl (bought a place mat on sale that is perfect) to put my CPAP on as hotel surfaces are usually really slick and my 2M hose isn't all that long.

Now that's strictly a matter of opinion.
