Resmed software needed

Post by wdabbs8 » Wed Aug 05, 2009 2:46 pm

I just purchased a Resmed S8 Autoset II. Website no longer offers software. Any ideas on where I can find it?

ResMed will not allow US suppliers to sell ResScan directly to patients.

You can get it from http://www.cpapaustralia.com , however. You may find that the card reader is cheaper at cpap.com.

cpap australia offers a bundle of reader + software - costs about $175US which I think is cheaper than buying seperately - even when buying cheaper reader from cpap.com. i just ordered and received within 7 business days.

As indicated above Rescan 3.7 is available through overseas and underground sources. I have a Resmed machine with Rescan software and am satisfied with the performance and features of the machine, but the software is dated, crudely programmed, archaic and unreliable. These shortcomings plus the fact that you have to go half way around the world to buy it legally or buy a pirated copy locally says a lot about how Resmed "values" their customers.

I am eligible for a new machine in October, it will be a Respironics.
