OT. Help fight breast cancer.. Paint It Pink.

Post by Pendragon » Fri Jul 31, 2009 7:49 pm

Hi guys & Gals. I know I'm new here and don't know if this is against any rules, but this is a good cause.
If you click this link:

http://www.paintitpinkcanada.com/pages/ ... 1949316296

and vote for my daughters photo that she took (the butterfly), $2.00 will be donated by Avon ( for each vote) to help breast cancer research It only takes a minute.
Tell your friends and email contacts, lets try and beat this deadly disease.
You can view and vote for other pics too, I won't be offended.

Thanks everyone.
Chris.

Is there any possible way of getting this post made sticky for a few days or a week?
Please?
Thanks.

Beautiful photo(s) and wonderful cause. Whose life has not been touched by breast cancer, whether personally or through family, friends, or coworkers? My guess is not many can say they've never known anyone with breast breast cancer.

I don't know about making it a sticky note - that might be reserved for cpap related topics, so as to not show favoritism among the probable many causes dear to forum members. If you see it falling off the first page, you can always add a post and just say "Bump" to keep it in view for a while.

Kathy

P.S. Just spent the last hour browsing the photos - fun! In addition to the butterfly, I particularly enjoyed the clothesline scene and the close up of a flamingo face.

Since this is OT anyway ...

I just finished my radiation therapy for breast cancer. I can tell you that radiation definitely painted me pink! Bright, vivid pink. However, I won't post that photo.

I did vote. Thanks for the link.

I voted! I have known many people with breast cancer, including two men. My mom survived it and so have several friends. I've also lost two friends to breast cancer. We'll just keep "bumping" your post, Pendragon, as kteague suggested. Joanie, I hope you are feeling better now that you've finished your radiation. I have a friend who's about to start radiation for breast cancer. She's not looking forward to it but feels fortunate that she won't have to have chemo.
