Hey Guys,
I just received the results of my sleep study, however, my follow up appointment isn't until August 3rd. Although I'm not sure what I'm reading, some of the numbers are no where near as bad as some I've seen on this board. I know that you are not doctors, but I'd like your input as to what I should be asking my doctor on the third. If I don't post a number you need please let me know, and I'll put it up.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Start reading up on Central Apneas and wait for the members here that have experience with that particular beast to chime in and give you ideas on what to expect. While your numbers may not appear to be as "bad" as some have reported here, the majority of us have Obstructive Sleep Apnea and we don't have any Central apnea events.rnrbno wrote:Apnea/Hypopnea Index-7.3

Our Apnea/Hypopnea numbers will be much higher but since you have significant Central apneas you have a different beast to deal with.
Central apnea is when you stop breathing and the airway is still open.
Obstructive apnea is when we stop breathing because the airway collapses.
You will most likely need a much more sophisticated machine to deal with your issues.
