Snoring and Cpap
I am doing real well with the machine. Haven't been on it for quite 30 days yet, but my numbers seem real good, and I am feeling more refreshed. My question is that the data still shows that I am snoring some ( average about a 3). Is this normal? My wife says she doesn't hear me snore anymore, So I guess that must be an improvement. Or should I be tweking the pressure some more yet, to get rid of the snoreing?

Re: Snoring and Cpap
That snoring level isn't much at all. For some of us, snoring and AHI numbers can run independent of each other. In my first year of therapy, I had AHI numbers of < 1.0 and still very high snoring numbers (think double and triple digits). At about a year, I started doing nasal "cleansing" before bedtime. That, combined with two extra centimeters of pressure knocked the snoring index down to about nothing.

What does the rest of your data look like? I am not sure about your machine, but mine shows VS, vibratory snore. That could actually be just noise picked up by your hose or any of a number of other things. Do you have a cloth hose cover? My wife made me one and it makes dealing with the hose mush easier, and quieter. It's just blind leading the blind as far as this goes, I don't know that much about it.
Someone who knows will chime in I'm sure.

When you get your software and reader up and running you will be better able to tell if your leaks are causing you trouble, without it you won't know if it's leaks or incorrect pressure. No pressure will be correct until the leaks are under control. Jim
