changing machines

Post by Michele1234 » Sun Jun 07, 2009 11:28 pm

I currently have a Remstar Plus set at 9 W/ C-Flex off

I bought this on my own, because of lack of insurance it's been a great improvement since I started.

Are there any advantages to upgrading the machine? I see a lot of people say the Auto machines are best.
Also I found a brand new Remstar Pro for $75 would there be an advantage to switching?

BTW. I'm happy with the results of my current machine, I just want to make sure I'm not passing up a good deal.

Is the Pro the "tank" model or the m series?

Is your machine as you have pictured? (that is the legacy / tank model)

If the Pro is really a Pro 2 - need that 2 then you can get enhanced data if you get the card reader and software. There is no LED data so you have to get the software and card reader.

If there is not a "2" - it is just a Pro - they you don't gain much - the Pro I believe has cflex, a card but only compliance data, not the enhanced AHI and leak data.

The Pro 2 was my original machine.

You may want to by it as a backup machine, in case the Plus breaks down - but, as jules said, if it's not a Pro 2 you won't gain anything as far as data is concerned -- and even if its a Pro 2, you'll need a cardreader and software to get data off a tank model.
