C-Flex on setting 1

Post by SkipperH » Mon Jun 01, 2009 3:52 pm

Change setting on the c-flex to 1 and I slept better last night. Does this mean I'm getting used to the pressure and do not need the assistance as much on exhaling?

Well, maybe. You were using c-flex at 2 or 3? If so, it could be that more exhalation relief meant your pressure on exhale was too much lower than your therapeutic pressure for comfort in respect to keeping your airway open. But yes, after getting used to the treatment, I found myself much less "attacked" by the pressure. My pressure now is 12 and I have to chuckle when I look at my early posts speaking as if my then pressure of 10 was gale force winds. Since the c-flex feature is for comfort and 1 is comfortable for you, for whatever reason, sounds like it's working for you. I'm fine with mine at 1 also.

surprisingly my numbers and my sleep is way better at 1 than at 3. So it stays at one.

When I changed masks from the Swift LT to the Activa LT I found I did not need my CFlex 3 setting any longer. I changed the setting from 3 to 1 and my numbers improved quite a bit and I really did not notice the change.

thats got me to thinking, i may change my flex tonight.
when i first started i thought id never get used to the tornado force wind shooting up my nose, now its barely noticable.
