unlocking the VPAP auto 25

Post by 678 » Thu May 21, 2009 7:44 am

I know our DME has the Resmed VPAP 25 auto locked. Can I unlock it or do they have to? I want to also get the software and card reader so that we can observe the therapy at home and make adjustments at home. My husband has only had the machine 2 months so will that effect the medicare if we are doing stuff on our own?

Nope, having the software and cable reader and downloading the data will NOT affect any Medicare reimbursement, etc. I've had a Resmed since Oct 06 and the software and cable reader shortly thereafter and have been doing almost daily downloads since then.

Check your PMs.
