Hi Michele 1234: Whenever I try a new mask, it kinda feels like it burns my face or nostrils a little. I just got the Mirage Swift LT and it felt like it was burning my nose. Today I rinsed it with about 1teaspoon of vinager in a cup of warm water, then mild soap & warm water, then warm rinse. Will see if that helps tonight, first time I ever tried it.. Larry...

My nose got really sore the first night. I think that is kind of normal. Then I got some Lansinoh Lanolin and it does wonders to prevent that. I use a little bit of lanolin every night and my nose is not the least bit sore. Also, make sure you don't have your straps to tight.

I couldn't manage the LT Swift, Michele. I tried it for a full month, constantly adjusting tighter or looser. Either it was falling out of my nose or actually developing a pressure sore on my nostril. At the end I was sporting visible nostril calluses.

I really wanted it to work, but ended up switching to a Quattro. I'd rather not have all that on my head but it stays in place and I'm sleeping.

I hope you get lots of great feedback and helpful hints. I'd like to try the nasal pillows again. It's my back-up mask right now.

Good luck and keep trying to grab some zzzz's!

Thanks I figured that was normal for that type of mask.

First ... you should always wash your nasal pillows even if they are brand new out of a sealed plastic bag. The manufacturing process can leave a residue that may not react well to your sensitive skin.

As others have said, your headgear straps may be too tight ... try loosening up enough that they don't leak.

For the current irritation and pain, goto the drug department and get a small tube of Ayr's Saline Gel with Aloe and smear some of that stuff on your nares right before going to sleep and during the day if you wish ... it well help the skin around your nares heal faster and help relieve the pain.

Finally, it takes time for the skin to toughen up (no it won't get like leather) and eventually you won't need the Ary's gel ... be patient.

It took me about a week for my nares to adjust to the nasal pillows when I started and I do believe the Ayr's gel helped to speed that process along.
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

I am 2 weeks into using the swift lt nasal pillows and I can go about 7 hours now before the pressure on my nose is waking me up. If I have the mask loose with a comfortable pressure I get a good seal until I move the mask when I lay on my side and once I break the seal I have to take the mask off and put it on again to get a good seal. I am trying to get my dmu to send me a large size pillow as they only gave me a medium when I picked everything up. So far they have sent the pillows from a different mask so I cant tell if a larger size will help. You could also try rotating the mask on the side adjusters. I found if I trap the hose under my arm so it doesnt rotate upwards theres less pressure on the tip of my nose. Good luck, Dave
