Any long haul truckers with OSA out there?
My sons company is starting doubles soon and I wonder how do you hook up your cpap machine in the bunk area?
I know there is TV connection and sometimes a small fridge, are these run on battery backup or hook into the trucks electrical somehow. Any suggestions would be welcomed!

Re: TRUCKERS
Most CPAPs will run off of 12 volts DC. Cpap.com and other places sell power cables so that you can plug CPAPs into a cigarette lighter socket. My guess is that the sleeper will have a DC power socket, AKA cigarette lighter socket.
Re: TRUCKERS
One of our over the road drivers uses his cpap in the sleeper. Depending on what brand of machine is being used, it is my understanding that some will run on 12 volt straight from the outlets most truck have available and some will not. A power inverter will solve the problem, and they are available at most truck stops. If i were going to use one in the bunk, that would be my solution, just be sure to get one that is rated with enough wattage output to do the job.

I drove for a little while about 30 years ago. There should be no trouble getting the cpap to work in the truck, but the humidifier is another matter all together. I can't imagine how it would handle water going down the road. When you say running doubles I assume you mean two drivers so there is one in the bunk and one behind the wheel all the time. God, I remember that and how old it got...
